Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and tenpin (“tenpin”, “we”, “us”) covering your use of the tenpin app and website. By creating an account or using tenpin, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use tenpin.

Who can use tenpin

You must be at least 13 years old to use tenpin. If you’re under 18, you may only use it with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf. By using tenpin you confirm you meet these requirements. tenpin is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information — if we learn that we have, we’ll delete it.

It’s a beta

tenpin is in active beta. That means:

Features may break, change, or disappear without notice.
Your data should be safe, but treat the beta as work in progress — don’t rely on it as your only record of anything that matters to you.
We provide tenpin “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details secure; you’re responsible for what happens under your account.
Give accurate details — a real email, and a username that isn’t misleading or impersonating someone else.
One person per account. Don’t share accounts, or create accounts for other people without their consent.
Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.

Playing fair

tenpin is better when scores mean something. Please don’t:

Enter fake or manipulated scores, or misrepresent games, series, or results.
Harass, threaten, bully, or abuse other bowlers — in callouts, comments, feed posts, night rooms, or anywhere else. Keep the trash talk friendly.
Post content that is illegal, hateful, sexual, or infringes someone’s rights.
Impersonate anyone, or claim an affiliation you don’t have.
Interfere with, probe, scrape, overload, or try to break the service, or access parts of it you’re not authorised to.
Use tenpin to break any law or anyone else’s rights.

We may remove content, or suspend or close accounts, that break these rules.

Your content

You keep ownership of the scores, photos, comments, and other content you add. By adding it, you give us the licence we need to store, display, and share it to run the features you use — for example, showing a game to the bowlers you’ve made it visible to. You’re responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.

Our content

The tenpin app, website, name, logo, and design are ours (or our licensors’). These terms don’t give you any right to use them beyond using the service normally.

Ending your use

You can stop using tenpin at any time and delete your account (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we need to for legal or security reasons, or if we stop offering the service.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, tenpin is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we’ll say so in the app or on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use tenpin after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Contact & governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. Questions or concerns? Reach us through the app or the tenpin website.
